contrapuntal/parallel: sound that goes against the mood like n jaws 2 happy people swimming while you hear a deep base while parallel follows the mood of the scene

dialectic/non dietetic: digectic sounds is sound that can be found on the shot and the actors would hear. non digetic is sounds the actors/actress wouldn't hear

off screen/on screen: sounds coming from outside the shot that we the audience cant see and sound on screen we as the audience can see being made from the shot

voice over: the thoughts of an actor or actress,provides some narration,documentary and establishes emotion.

Setting-the setting is at school or at a prom as we can see a a banner saying senior pron and balloons and is probably based in america as it says 'seniors' and the time period seems to be  in modern times.
Theme-Good vs evil as its the 2 heroes trying to find and  the main villain from selling drugs.
Icon- Guns a staple of action movies.
Narrative - the story will probably follow buddy cop or action comedy narrative and will probably involve the 2 character relationship changing or improving,where they will have to chase a villain and ruin his plan.
Characters- the main characters are to men who are both wearing white prom suits and posing in a cool pose.

semiotics

Semiotics means the study of signs. It is when you use images to represent things and use something that stands for something else. 

Denotation is what we see when we look at an image and nothing more.

The connotation is what we understand from the image - connotations given.

Stuart hall developed the theory that audience  have different reactions to media text such as music videos and films

denotations of the image are that we can them all laying in a bed and the 2 people laying on each other and one of them on the phone looking at the one on the left and the 2 on the left are looking at the camera, on a plain white bed.

connotation  could be that the 2 layings on each other are In a relationship and the one in the middle whos  staring at the girl is in love with the girl and

in this YouTube video the director has used animation to make the music video stand out and shifts styles from in and out of the animation  and it is very unique compared to the music videos at the time and catches people out as the band was pretty unknown and their music video helped them standout.the music video  seems to tell a story as well as a girl taken off her feet by the mysterious animated man.
